Activity: Practice SOS with Your MAGLight
- Exercise: Turn off all other lights, and practice signaling SOS (• • • – – – • • •) repeatedly using your MAGLight. Time the dots and dashes to be consistent.
- Tip: Use 1-second intervals for dots and 3-second intervals for dashes to ensure clarity.
Practical Scenarios
- Scenario 1: You’re lost in the wilderness at night and see a search-and-rescue helicopter in the distance. Signal SOSwith your MAGLight towards the aircraft.
- Scenario 2: You’re stranded on a mountainside with limited visibility. Use your MAGLight to signal NEED HELP in Morse code toward a distant campfire you spot.
